In 2010, Sergey Melnikoff, a.k.a. MFF, and his daughter Anastassia presented a photograph titled “Heart of Tibet” to the Dalai Lama. The panoramic picture captures thousands of pilgrims celebrating Saga Dawa, the birthday of Buddha, with Mount Kailash in the backdrop. During that time, the technology for acrylic plasticization was not available, and the photograph was printed on art canvas.
Currently, the artist is seeking a sponsor to accompany him on a trip to meet the Dalai Lama. The purpose of the trip is to present an “eternal” version of the “Heart of Tibet” photograph, encased in acrylic glass. Additionally, the artist will ask His Holiness to sign a second copy of the photograph for the sponsor of this trip to India. Watch our video

The Land of the Moon-Faced Beauty
Sergey Melnikoff, also known as MFF, held his largest solo exhibition entitled “The Land of the Moon-Faced Beauty” in 2009, for one day only, in the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. The exhibition was held at the National Museum of fine arts named after Gapar Aitiev and spanned several large halls, showcasing an extensive collection of works that had been meticulously prepared over a long period of time.
As a commission from the government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Melnikoff was also tasked with creating a large album that highlighted the country’s natural wonders and included beautifully illustrated projects aimed at promoting mountain tourism in the Tian Shan.
Unfortunately, political maneuvering by the semi-criminal regime in Kyrgyzstan prevented the grand opening of the exhibition. Opponents of the regime raised objections to the exhibition, arguing that it could harm Kyrgyzstan’s interstate relations with the Russian Federation due to Melnikoff’s status as an “open enemy” of Russia. This led to a parliamentary hearing on the matter, making Melnikoff the only artist in the world whose exhibition had been discussed at the highest political level.
