War is often quantified in terms of statistics and figures, but it’s the individual stories that paint a vivid picture of the true human cost of conflict. The collection of children’s artwork showcased in our auction is a poignant reminder of the impact of war on innocent lives, as well as the resilience and creativity of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

These drawings, crafted by Ukrainian children caught in the middle of a brutal conflict, speak volumes about the violence and devastation that have ravaged their homes and communities. These children, protected by their parents and supported by volunteers and art teachers, found comfort and solace in their art, and were able to create something beautiful amid the chaos and destruction of war.

The fact that these drawings are being sold to support a rehabilitation center for disabled Ukrainian children underscores the power of art and generosity to effect real change in the world.
